ENGLISH MONORAIL LABORATORY CAMERA. C1890. As far as I am aware, Watsons were still cutting hand dovetails, such as those on this camera, until 1898, so that is the latest this should be. Just don't ask me what it is, or how to use it. It had a Watson's badge, so I bought it. The monorail on which it should be mounted is missing, but the clamps are present, so I have mounted it on some bits of three-quarter inch broomstick to hold it together until I can do a better job. There is a focusing lens and an internal flap shutter. Naturally, some meddler has tried to fold it with the flap open inside the camera and has holed the bellows. There ought to be a law...
