Kodak | No. 5 Folding Kodak | Other | 5 X 7 Plate or Rollfilm

AMERICAN FIELD CAMERA. 1890-1897. I am not very well acquainted with American cameras, but this one took my fancy, so I added it to my collection as an interesting acquisition whose only English counterpart would be the detective style cameras which, like this one, were nothing but a leather case to outward appearances when folded. Unlike those cameras, however, this one has quite definitely to be unfolded before use. My American friends call this a 'Satchel Style' Folding Kodak, I think.
