Kemp & Co | KC No.3 Camera | English | Half Plate

ENGLISH FIELD CAMERA. 1880s. This cleverly designed, and technically quite advanced, triple extension camera was another one that came to me in pieces. The only identifying mark is a black disc with white lettering saying 'KC No.3'. Putting two and two together to make five, I have catalogued it as made by the only firm I could find with these initials, Kemp and Co. of Edinburgh, Scotland. This is far from a solid identification, and I would be obliged if anybody out there who knows different would contact me.
