Benetfink & Co. | Lightning Hand Camera | Other | Quarter Plate

MAGAZINE CAMERA | 1902: Benetfink are best known as retailers, and though they did advertise some cameras such as this "Lightning", under their own name and with their own badge, it is likely to have been bought in. This one probably still qualifies as a detective camera, retaining some vestiges of the earlier Detective cameras, and having the shutter and controls hidden behind a hinged front panel. It is quite sophisticated of its kind, focusing by internal bellows and having an exposure counter and a shutter with three speeds plus time.
