BLACK BOX CAMERA |1912-13: A decent quality black box camera, for 21/4 x 31/4, made of wood with a leatherette covering. From 1912 to 1913, its film chamber, removable from the right side, is locked in place by a full length rotatable locking bar. This bar was discontinued in 1913 and replaced by catches at the front and back; the camera continued to be made in that form until 1918, but in effect the model described here was made for only one year and is therefore quite rarely found.
