Ensign (Ross-Ensign) | Ful-Vue Super | Other | 620 Film

1954-59. From 1954 to 1957, Ensign, under the new name of Ross-Ensign from 1951 after more boardroom machinations, produced this radically updated model, the Ful-Vue Super, which enabled use of a dedicated plug-in flash gun for bulbs. Made from die-cast metal, with squared off viewfinder corners replacing the streamlined effect of models I and II, and a hinged viewfinder cover which has the Ross-Ensign Logo embossed on it, the Ful-Vue Super ditched the nasty pressed steel tin-lid side opening and adopted an altogether more acceptable L-shaped removable back. It is said that over a million of this more substantial model were made.
