620 FILM | 1949. A small simple pressed steel black box camera of decent quality in its class, one of the very few cameras produced by Gnome, whose main speciality was mid-range enlargers, though they also made many other reasonably priced photographic accessories. Established about 1935, Gnome moved after WWII to Caerphilly Road, Cardiff, Wales, their pre-war premises at Pontypridd having been requisitioned by the wartime Ministry of Aircraft Production. They ceased trading in 1994.
